The Flu Has Hit
Well again a craft free week. Missed this week because the first three days of the week I could not even get out of bed. I was struck by what I think was the flu and considering how many of my extended family are also are sick I would say for sure it was the flu. So as I am still recovering I am trying to come up with a great craft for next week. Ideas on hand are canvas paintings, bug jar, Easter yarn eggs, scrapbook layout and St. Patrick craft. We will see which one I choose or maybe I will pick more than one. Have to see how busy the week is going to be! Feeling better but hope to be 100% for next week.

Busy Week
Wish I had more time this week but I don't. So think this is going to be a craft free week. Busy writing thank you's from my daughters 1st Birthday party and just no craft time. I guess I need to start thinking of a craft for next week because I don't want two craft free weeks in a row!

Mickey Mouse Club House Birthday Cake
Mickey Mouse Club House Cake
Above is the Mickey Mouse Club House cake that my husband made for our daughters first birthday party. I told you he was the creative one. He makes and decorates all the cakes for all the kids party's in our family. Next week he is doing Elmo.
Mickey Mouse Smash Cake
This was my daughters smash cake for her first birthday. Again my husbands cake creation. You can't tell from the picture but it is a full size cake, not just a small baby smash cake. My daughter did a number on it. I thing now even a week later I am still finding black frosting either on her or stuck in the high chair!
Minnie Birthday Banner
Minnie Mouse 1st Birthday Banner
I made the banner above for my daughters first birthday part. I used the Mickey Font Cricut cartridge. Since the theme was Mickey Mouse Club House I made every other Mickey head Minnie by adding a bow. To hang I just punched holes at the edge of each ear and ran black yarn through the holes so it was always in the back of the Mickey heads. I figure we can use the banner again by just removing the 1st and I could always add a new number or even a name.
First Blog Post Ever!
So woke up today and decieded to create a blog. Not that I am not busy enough, thought I would share my thoughts and ideas with others.
So a little bit about me!
No matter how crafty I try to be my husband always out does me or has an even better idea. It does work to my advantage when I am stumped and in need of a idea. I always know he will have at least one new suggestion or idea of how to make my project better.
I am a stay at home mom of two and love scrapbooking and paper crafts. I am always doing crafts with my son and can't wait for my daughter to get old enough to craft with us.
I am hoping this blog will keep me inspired and will force me to make even more time to do the crafts that I love!
Goals!
Hope to post a new completed project at least once a week.
Would also like to expand and try new crafts other than paper crafts. (Sewing, knitting and painting to name just a few)
