String Easter Eggs

So I got the idea for these from a valentines craft my son and I did. I think they might be to round to really look like eggs. Will have to try to make them more egg like next time. I also want to be more aware of a bottom so they have way to stand up on their own. I do think they turned out cute and can't wait to make more just a little bit more perfect. Now what to do with them?

Artist I Am Not

So I tired my hand at painting some canvas and was not to happy with what I got. Below is one of the two canvas I painted. It is the better of the two in my eyes. I want to do some more research then maybe try one more time.

Over the Flu!!!

Well my family survived the flu! Now to get back to life and creating. I just picked up some canvas at JoAnn and am planning on painting next week. I am going to try and I am also going to let my 5 year old give it a try. Should be interesting, will post pictures when they are all done.
I am also waiting for yarn to go on sale at Michaels so we can also start making Easter eggs. I am excited to see how those eggs will turn out. Will also post pictures of those when they are done.

The Flu Has Hit

Well again a craft free week. Missed this week because the first three days of the week I could not even get out of bed. I was struck by what I think was the flu and considering how many of my extended family are also are sick I would say for sure it was the flu. So as I am still recovering I am trying to come up with a great craft for next week. Ideas on hand are canvas paintings, bug jar, Easter yarn eggs, scrapbook layout and St. Patrick craft. We will see which one I choose or maybe I will pick more than one. Have to see how busy the week is going to be! Feeling better but hope to be 100% for next week.

Busy Week

Wish I had more time this week but I don't. So think this is going to be a craft free week. Busy writing thank you's from my daughters 1st Birthday party and just no craft time. I guess I need to start thinking of a craft for next week because I don't want two craft free weeks in a row!

Above is the Mickey Mouse Club House cake that my husband made for our daughters first birthday party. I told you he was the creative one. He makes and decorates all the cakes for all the kids party's in our family. Next week he is doing Elmo.

Mickey Mouse Smash Cake

This was my daughters smash cake for her first birthday. Again my husbands cake creation. You can't tell from the picture but it is a full size cake, not just a small baby smash cake. My daughter did a number on it. I thing now even a week later I am still finding black frosting either on her or stuck in the high chair!
